5-Amino-1MQ is a small molecule that inhibits nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme found in fat tissue and, at its highest levels, in the liver. Pre-clinical work in cultured fat cells and obese mice has looked at its effect on fat-cell metabolism and cellular NAD+ levels.
